Hi everyone! So I just decided to start posting about my last trip to Hong Kong. Start with this hidden gem called Sai Wan Swimming Shed that located near Kennedy Town MTR. You will see the other side of Hong Kong, besides the usual skyscrapers that you usually find around Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui area.
How to get there:
You have 3 options to get there,
- Exit from Kennedy Town MTR , take a taxi to Victoria Road
- Walk along Victoria Road from Kennedy Town MTR and look for the red and white sign. Take note that it’s a long walk approximately 15-20 minutes. You can use google maps while walking through the road.
- I prefer to take Green Minibus no.58 that can be found at Exit A from Kennedy Town MTR. Kindly note that you have to push the stop button once you think that you’re nearby already. I use google maps to know when I have to push the bell. It takes us there under 30 minutes with cost 6.90HKD/person for a single trip.
Once you get there, these are the breathtaking views that you will see.
We went to IFC Mall afterwards by taking green mini bus no.54 (note: you can use your Octopus Card for all bus services – Octopus Card is something like ez-link card in Singapore that you can use for MTR/Bus services) Across IFC Mall, there is Ferry Pier where you can take some nice pictures. There’s MTR station ‘Hong Kong’ in IFC Mall so you can simply move to another area from there.
Till my next HK post! x
